What Guests Should Know Before Booking:

• Gated Community: While the amenities Penn Estates offers are plentiful, dealing with the front/back gate can be a pain, and can sometimes cause delays.
• Limited Showers: The house is equipped with 4 total bathrooms, but only 2 of them have showers, so larger groups may need to spread out their shower times.
• Pool Season: If you intend on using the pool, be sure to confirm that you are booking in the pool season. There is an additional charge of $75 a day to keep the pool heated. Pool Season: Late May - Late September

Residential suburban neighborhood in East Stroudsburg (Pocono Mountains). Quiet streets and single-family homes with easy access to local shopping on Independence Road and Route 209/191, East Stroudsburg University a short drive away, and outdoor recreation within 20–40 minutes (Delaware Water Gap, Lake Naomi, hiking and ski areas). The vibe is family-friendly and commuter-oriented, popular with visitors heading into the Poconos or commuting toward New Jersey/New York.

Most visitors rely on a car—the neighborhood is car-friendly with ample street access to I-80 and US-209. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) and local taxis operate but can be slower in off-peak hours. Regional bus: Martz Trailways (Park & Ride near Independence Road/Stroudsburg) provides scheduled coaches to New York City and other regional stops. Local transit: Monroe County/municipal shuttle routes and on-demand services cover borough and nearby towns but run limited schedules. For longer trips, driving to a NJ Transit or Amtrak station (or to larger airport car-rental hubs) is common.
